The Proprietor of the Oakland Kids Nursery and Primary School, Akure, Ondo State, Brig. Gen. Joe Komolafe (retd), has said the 75 percent benchmark score set for external examinations in the school has been yielding fruitful results.
He said the benchmark score that was set by the school had propelled the pupils to have excellent performance in their examinations
The proprietor stated this during the valedictory ceremony for the fifth and sixth graduating sets of the school.
He charged the graduating pupils to remain committed to the principles of hard work, discipline and responsibility.
“You are the pride of our school and the hope of our country. I am confident that with the training you have all received from this school, you will be worthy ambassadors and make great impact upon your country and the world at large”.
“Make us proud by being responsible citizens in the society where it is becoming harder to find persons with good morals and academic excellence. We hope you will be the change agents that we need to make a difference in our society,” Komolafe charged.
“We can still break the record set by these sets of pupils. A benchmark of 75 per cent was set for all and I am glad to inform you that they all performed above the benchmark.”
Commending the performance of the pupils, the proprietor said, “The best graduating pupil this year had 96 percent in the state common entrance examination. This broke the record set two years ago when the best graduating pupil had 92 percent. In addition, three pupils scored 100 percent in mathematics.”
