OAU commiserates with family of masters student over his death as police continue investigation

The management of the Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile Ife, has described the death of Adegoke Timothy Oludare a student of the school’s Executive Master in Business Administration (MBA) programme, as very unfortunate. He was reported missing on November 7, 2021.

It was learnt that Adegoke had lodged in Hilton hotel located in Ile-Ife, Osun State between October 22 and November 5, 2021, before he was later declared missing.

 

The police arrested six suspects at the hotel where he lodged after his body was found and exhumed in a shallow grave. The result of the post-mortem is being awaited.

 

Osun State Police Command on Wednesday, 17th of November, 2021 said according to PUNCH Metro, that the popular hotel owner in Ile-Ife where Adegoke lodged, Dr. Ramon Adedoyin, was arrested on the 15th of November in connection with the case.

The school management has also pledged its commitment to work with the law enforcement agents to unravel the circumstances leading to the death of Adegoke.

Dr. Adedoyin, is currently in police detention where he is undergoing interrogation in connection with the case while they are awaiting the autopsy report from the hospital.

Meanwhile, Adedoyin’s kinsmen have called on the police to ensure proper investigation into the incident.
